Students in 3D Art spent the week working on a slip casting/dipping project. They designed a paper sculpture that could be dipped into the slip. They were fired over the weekend and are awaiting glaze in the kiln room. Some were so thin and fragile that they crumbled after the paper sculpture burned away. Others are fairly sturdy for being hollow. If you want more information on this project read, Artist of the Week: Jessica Drenk.
