Amate Bark Paintings

We studied the Puebla technique of Amate bark painting. Using brown craft paper, sharpies, and oil pastels students created a landscape with a background, middle ground, and foreground. We talked about perspective and how things get smaller as they move away and large when they are closer to the viewer.
